The shoe is good quality, attractive and the leather has a nice feel to it. I've been wearing them for about a week now and they didn't need much break in.One thing i noticed is that the shoe is about half a size smaller then I expected. I usually wear a 11.5-wide (if I can find it) but it was too narrow and I had to return it and request a 12-wide. The 12 fits great and the exchange process was painless.

I have always liked Rocport book for the weight and comfort. These boots have both but these new soles make so much noise and after wearing and breaking them in only seems to get worse. People in public mention the squeek! NEVER wear these to a movie if you plan on getting up during the show. I will now buy a new pair of boots, Non-Rockport, and use these boots for yard work. DO NOT buy these no matter how cheap they get.

The boots are comfortable but they squeak very loudly. I put leather conditioner on them and I hope that works.
