These are, in fact, warm, waterproof and solid, but the lacing system squeaks so much (bare laces against leather) that I feel awkward every time I have to wear them into a semi-quiet location. All eyes in the room will turn to watch me "squee squee squee" my way down the halls. These ended up needing replacement.

I have had these boots for just over a week now and I love them. Right out the box, they were incredibly comfortable. I have walked many miles in them in cold Minnesota weather and my feet have stayed warm and dry. I was concerned that my feet would become overheated with the warm lining, but they keep my feet at a very comfortable temperature. These boots are very sturdy and well made and they are easy to clean also when it gets messy out. I have bought Salomon products on several occasions and I continue to be impressed.Regarding the other review, the boots do squeak somewhat, but I do not find it to be an issue. It is really not all that noticeable unless you are somewhere inside and it is quiet. I have never noticed it when I was outside.Overall, very satisfied with these boots!
