Runs a 1/2 size large. I wear a 10 usually, had to get a 9.5. I have worn them a half a dozen times already and they are perfect for urban winter.

For the city folk, this may be enough to constitute a "winter boot." For the country citizens, this is a cool weather boot that will keep you comfortable until freezing temperatures set in and you will be working or recreating outside for extended periods. Bear in mind that despite a PAC-like appearance, they have no viable insulation other than a comfy flannel lining that makes them very hospitable to your leg and foot. I believe they could be described as a "quarter" size too small - meaning that if you plan on wearing heavy socks, go up a half size. I am a size 10 normally, and the size 10 works for me as long as I don't break out the really thick socks.The leather on these boots is top notch. I compare these as better than their chief competitor and standard-bearer, the mighty and timeless Bean boots. I believe both the leather and sole is better (bean uses the tractor sole which sacrifices some of the traction these offer). The vulcanized rubber is well done and I would (and might) buy another pair to prevent the dreaded discontinuation of this model after mine eventually wear down. I have many miles in these boots and have chosen them as hikers in wet conditions on fairly level ground, a testament to their comfort.

I like the boots, comfortable, warm, cozy and stylish! Ideal boots for slushy snow, wet weather and cold climates. Good product!
