Amazing boots! The picture doesn't do them any justice. After receiving them yesterday and trying them on, you'd think they were worth $500. But I'm glad I took the advice of the other buyer who suggested ordering these boots 2 sizes above your normal shoe size. I also wear a 13, and ordered these in a 15 and they fit nice and snug. There's a removable liner inside, almost like you would find in a pair of ski gloves, except it's for your foot. The liner insulation looks like something off of a space shuttle, but makes my feet start roasting after about 5 minutes. Awesome! My supposedly high end mid-top Timberlands make my feet freeze in about 6 minutes. Rubbish! Also, these boots are 3x's the size of your average boot! The boot is so big in fact, it's designed to fit over a pair of pants, and rise to about calf height!!! If you drive a manual transmission vehicle besides a mid to full-sized truck or an 18 wheeler with automatic transmission, forget about it. Driving a 2007 Subaru Forester 2.5xt Sport Limited Mirca Blue with manual transmission, I have to wear my normal boots just to drive, then change into these when I get out. But I'd be a fool to give these less than 5 stars because they weren't designed for driving a 5-speed. I'd buy another pair in a heart beat. With memory foam type cushioning, it feels like my feet are taking a nap. Also, they definitely have safety in mind....all I can say is that you'll even be seen in the dark. Very cool. Even though these are gigantic, they're very easy to walk in, which may invalidate my next comment. But I do wish they made the boots more snug around the upper leg portion when I lace them up tight. I know it's designed to wear paints inside the boot but around the outside of the liner, but wish the boot would collapse more without bulging. But that flexibility does allow for very easy movement. Almost like wearing a pair bell bottoms, tight waste wide bottoms, but the other way around. Fits snug around the foot but flares at the top a little too much. But still love them!! In my opinion, this is my first pair of real winter boots I've ever purchased just to wear while I work in Minneapolis/St.Paul. Not required in Pennsylvania! Neither is an Canada Goose EP, Aviator Hat, Moleskin pants or anything made of Merino Wool or Goat skin. But I'm warm while everyone else is doing the "I'm so cold dance" :-) Note: With the wide top, the boat does allow me to walk while keeping the boat firmly planted without slipping on ice. The leg tilts back and forth without moving the boot. Hmmmmmm. Genius!!

No matter how insulated a boot is, it has a tough task of keeping you warm when you are not moving. I spent 3 days Steelehead fishing in southern Oregon in 20 degree temps fishing with my boots touching an aluminum boat on water. I must say I felt warmer in these than any other boot I have tried over the last 10 years of fishing. Unfortunately, by the end of the 8 hour day, my feet were still cold, but it wasn't unbearable.

I really like these boots a lot. But on the warmer days they are a bit to much. At -10C and below they are wonderful and warm. The rubber used seems to be of good quality and will not to be quick to crack like some other brands. From peoples suggestions I got a size 9, my feet are a size 8.5. I have narrow ankles and boney feet, I think I could have maybe been happier in a 8, but I am not sure how small the 8 is.I have been using the boots snowmobiling as well as watching the kids race. All toes are warm. Very nice.These are big bulky boots, so go one rank down if you just want a boot for getting around town in.
