The boots are great and warm even without the heater being on. The heating part failed on both boots after 3 months of use. I used the heating part about 10% of the time. I sent the boots back to the company five weeks ago, but have not heard from them. I have e mailed the company and am still waiting to hear from them.

As of January 8, 2013, I JUST took these back to the Columbia store for a $465 refund. I wore them all of 4-5 times, stored them then took them out for December 21st to stand in line for a special sale. Guess what? That's right, one of them failed. They feel good when they work, but they quality is inconsistent. This is the SECOND pair of electric boots I had to take back in about as 14 months. I'm really starting to think about electric socks.
