I purchased these for work. As a C.D.C.R. Correctional Officer I do a lot of walking/running on concrete and uneven landscape. I needed a boot that was built well and was comfortable. The break-in period was not pleasant. I do not recommend wearing these for more than four hours when you first put them on. I would recommend rubbing the upper half of the boot with baby oil and work it. They are extremely stiff when right out of the box. It took over a week to loosen them up just by walking in them. If you do not soften the top by working it or with oil they will cause bruising on your calf's. After being broken-in, these are a comfortable boot but could use more padding in the sole. They are great for cold weather and hot weather. I have had these for over six months and have put them through hell and they are still holding up strong. I would recommend purchasing a pair of very well made gel inserts. I am 200lbs and after sixteen hours of walking in one shift my feet are more sore than I thought they would be. The Zipper is well constructed and has not jammed or broke.

This boot is not much heavier than other boots in the similar style, but it is bigger/heavier than a non insulated boot. Very nice when the temperature drops. Haven't had it in too much water/deep snow but so far no complaints on the waterproof part. I looked around for "work/tactical" boots that were insulated and these seem to be a good deal. Non metallic hard ware was a must for me and these certainly are. Boots came well packaged, in new condition as describe, i honestly don't think anyone every put a foot in them before me, shipping in a converse box with paperwork inside a brown shipping box. Would definitely buy from again.

I purchased these when they are on sale and paid around $50 and like all their other shoes they will hold up for constant water/flooding of the shoe.I work at a job where the floor is constantly being cleaned and soap and water and your shoes and shins get soaked nightly (5/7 days a week). So far they have held up and I see no wear.They are light for how big they are. Little bit slow to put on but that's how it is for this type of boot. they are comfortable once you break them in for a day of walking around your neighborhood. They give excellent traction if you keep the tread free of debris.Put these boots among your top considerations if you need boots that are highly water resistant and wear well.UPDATEOK Converse let me down finally but you can't fault the track record. My right boot zipper finallly bound up on me and broke off the track as I was putting the boot on. Now I must secure that side with some paracord.
