I purchased my first pair of these Ugg 'Beacon' boots over two years ago from a local retailer here where I reside, because Amazon.com did not have my size and color selection available at the time, as supply was very limited for this new model of the Ugg line. Besides, I always prefer to see and try-on 'in person' my initial purchase since sizing always seems to differ from maker to maker. Then, my subsequent purchases are made online if my size, style, and color choice is available. Plus, for me, it's much easier to shop Amazon.com online and have specific items delivered right to my doorstep.These good-looking boots (in black aka 'After Dark') have the quality, look, fit ('true to size'), and comfort which the Ugg line is renown for. Sure, Ugg's pricing is higher (something that others who always seem to settle for lesser quality/priced boots continue to 'bawk at'), but you do get what you pay for which at least for me and the other Ugg owners justifies the Ugg's price. These Ugg 'Beacon' boots look great, have excellent traction (on wet, muddy, snowy, and icy surfaces), feel comfortable (with or without heavy socks), and they do run 'true to size' and width; i.e., I wear a men's size 10 (medium/regular width) and these fit me perfectly. Another nice feature about this line of boot is for the fact that the footbeds are completely removable (for washing) and new replacements (by Ugg) can also be purchased if necessary.BTW, I do own other brands of similar style/less expensive boots and wear them when I work around my home and property. Unlike those others I own, the Ugg 'Beacon' boots are a dressier style boot and I wear them when going out, whilst traveling and shopping, etc. I have worn mine almost daily for over two years now and since they are virtually moisture resistant and easy to clean, they still look as good as new. I hope that this info has been of help to those of you possibly contemplating purchasing a pair of these fine boots...cheers.

I bought these boots a month ago and have worn them on many occasions. They are superb. I highly recommend you follow the Ugg rule and not wear socks with them. My feet don't sweat and they are so comfortable. Don't let the price scare you, these are top of the line boots and your feet will thank you.
