Winter Boots

Great product and great service. No need to waterproof these boots they are already waterproof. Great looking too! In New England we need this kind of foot wear for snow, slush, and rain. Good leather upper. No lug sole so I don't bring mud and snow inside.

Comfortable and Warm are the 1st words that come to mind :) Also very nice looking and awesome with jeans. I would NOT hesitate recommending these whatsoever. I think they run just a tad large so maybe consider buying One size Smaller. Overall VERY well-made and worth the Money!

no wool liners

They don't tell you there are no wool liners with the boots, they are worthless without them. DON'T BUY they can't be used without the wool inner boot. They should tell you they don't have the liners.

Best extreme winter boots, bar none

As another reviewer noted, these boots come without a liner. I had mine issued to me by the US Army while in Alaska between 2008-2011. My liners were Sorell wool liners that were almost 1/2" thick. Sure, the boots by themselves are thin, but it's the sole that makes all the difference. It is made of a very gummy type of rubber that stays extremely soft even in sub zero freezing temperatures. I am talking about -30 to -50 Fahrenheit. Even on glare ice these boots provided adequate traction, provided you didn't try to run. On snow and rough ice the traction was excellent. The boot is tall so that it may be laced over pants, and as such provide excellent protection against brush and twigs, as well as snow entering the top of the boot. If you are looking for a boot that excels in extremely cold environments, get the Mukluk. Just don't forget to get the wool liners. The Sorell ones were great.

My husband was issued these in the Air Force in 1979. They finally wore out and he wanted a new pair desperately but couldn't find them in any army navy store. Bingo! Found them quickly on Amazon. Ordered them as a surprise and made him a happy man.

GREATEST BOOTS EVER!!!

I bought my first pair of these boots 4 years ago, and it's just about time for a new pair...You can bet I'm going to buy the same thing again!These boots are tough, durable work boots, the most comfortable, walking boots I've ever owned, and at a great price.I've spent over $250 on boots that weren't as comfortable, or as durable.The only draw-back to these boots are that the light colored ones stain easily and they're hard to clean up.

Get the ones with the holes instead of the hooks...

I've had these boots for about 2 months now and I like them. They are comfortable and durable. The hooks instead of eyelets at the top are very convenient but mine came off when I pulled the laces tight. Now I need to either just deal with it and not lace the top eyelet or I need to send them in for a warranty replacement at my own cost. I think they are bound to pull out again unless I'm very careful so I wish I had just bought the boots that have holes instead. So that is what I would suggest doing.

combat comfort

These are the best boots I've owned in a long time. I've tried several different styles and name brands of this type of boot including Doc's and Timberland and as I said these are the most comfortable I've worn. They are VERY sturdy & the extra stitching should help them last a long time? I haven't had a chance to wear them in wet weather yet so I'm not sure how water tight they are? By the looks of them I'm sure they'll be fine. I can see why the military order these for the troops, I wore them all day & my feet feel like I could go on for a few more hours.

Great Boot - If you can get it on

This boot arrived yesterday and I am returning it because it is very difficult for my husband to get it on and off. The top of the boot is very narrow and it is a process to get it on. Once on, the boot fits fine, but the struggle to get it on isn't worth it.
