I live in a historicly cold city in Upstate Western NY. I commute by bus daily and spend anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour outside a day and these boots keep my feet nice and warm plus they are really comfortable to walk in and i think I'm in love. Typical of The North Face quality product!

Belive the size hype. I wear a 10-10.5 and ordered an 11 in this. (Other brands: Rockports size 10, new balance sneakers 10d, Nike 10.5, J&M 10w). Seriously am considering returning it all together.While the length is no problem for me the width is narrow. FORGET wearing extra socks or thick socks. Somehow when they made this (I think it's something to do with the rubber upper) they made a mistake and the material seriously crowds the wide part of my foot below the toes when I'm wearing generic thin cotton athletic socks. I'm wearing them around the house optimistic they will stretch before I decide to return them.For a snow boot I'd rather have something that closes in the top instead of gaping open catching snow to wet my socks. But in Tennessee I'm not really worried about that happening more than a handful of times.** update ** Week 3 and my toes are wet? Looks like there is a leak in the toebox. Time to find a resolution.

I ordered one size larger as recommended, but I couldn't get it on. Maybe if the loops were bigger, or if they had a size 14. I was disappointed, but the order and return process were painless.
