I'm a location photographer who does a lot of night and weather timelapse work out on location and I was looking for a boot that was not only easy to put on and take off but comfortable enough for standing around in the cold for hours....I have "pack boots" for nasty cold snowy weather but sometimes find them too cumbersome and time consuming for those in between weather days/nights...a recent acquisition of motorcycle riders electrically heated insoles meant I could go with a less serious boot and thats what I got here...Though I did have a different experience re: sizing than the prior reviewer...The sizing seemed to run just a little small for me...I bought a full size up so I could use thicker socks and those heated insoles with them and they fit fine so my regular size would probably have been a little snug without the heavier socks and insoles...Putting them on isn't just a matter of slipping your foot in though...the liner is sewn in strangely so it feels like it follows your foot into the boot and has to be pulled back up around the ankle after your foot is seated. Other than that little quirk I've found them comfortable and pretty good looking for a "work boot"...Agree with the remarks re: the top being rather open but figure that's part of the price you pay for a slip-on...They're also not as insulated or warm as "serious" weather boots but they are good looking enough to wear around town and tough enough for quick passes through light snow, mud or a puddle.

I wasn't too impressed with these. They look great, are lightweight and comfy, but the fit is a bit haphazard. They are tough to get on, and then not quite snug. The leg opening is wide and it certainly does not hug around your leg. I have moderately athletic legs, and found about 3" of space between my leg and the opening. Unfortunately you can't really tighten it up around your leg.But since it is a slip-on, the boot has to compensate somehow for the lack of a typical snug lacing around the leg. It does this by pinching atop the toes and around the heel, trying to make a form fit around the foot. It sort of works, but really only if the fit is very good. For me I found it to flop around too much. I first tried a 10.5, then a 10, and wasn't satisfied. Perhaps a 9.5 would work but I don't want to order another pair just to test. If you do get these, try ordering a size smaller than what you normally wear. Or go ahead and buy two sizes, and return the one that doesn't fit, if not both.

a little loose in the ankle / above areas (to be expected in a slip-on boot with no straps or clamps). overall very nice feel.
