My major clothing need going into this winter was a new pair of boots. I took a risk (I consider buying any shoes over the Internet a risk, since you can never tell whether shoes or boots are going to be comfortable when you finally get them) and bought these on Black Friday as part of Amazon's 40% off sale. I'm extremely happy that I gambled on these boots. They are very stiff, tough boots, yet surprisingly comfortable. They are advertised as waterproof and being forced to test that in a very heavy rain, they are not falsely advertised. I have worn them several times now while walking my dog along the beach (yes, I walk my dog along the lake throughout the winter - he loves nothing more than running through snow drifts during a blizzard) and they are quite warm. On top of everything else, they are quite attractive.One other comment. Most shoes or boots have a weakest link, the place where you know they are going to wear out, whether a cushioned spot where you are going to get a hole or a spot at the back where your heel is going to rub away some of the leather. These boots come really, really close to having no obvious weak spots. Where my heal usually rubs a hole, there is nothing but solid leather. There is cushioning around the ankle, but it is unlikely that any kind of hole or tear is going to occur there. In short, these boots are not merely attractive, warm, and comfortable, they look like they are going to prove durable. Definitely some of the better boots I've owned. And while I bought them at an incredible sale price, they would definitely justify being purchased at full price.

Drive a bus.In the colder months , my feet get and stay cold, while my upper body is basking in the sun or getting blasted by the heater. These boots keep feet warm, while whisking away moisture. Warm and Dry..Thank you Hi-Tec for a wonderful excellent fitting boot.

Bought as a Christmas gift. The boots arrived quicker than promised and in excellent condition. The boots are as described and the recipient loves them. They fit well.
