These are for wearing out around the city. I live in Chicago. Style is perfect. They are warm in normal socks, but not if you're standing in the snow. I like the rollover option because it does look fashionable underneath the pants and its simple to lace it back to almost mid calf so the shearling doesn't get dirty if you go outside. Wouldn't walk through snow or huge puddles unless absolutely necessary. The look and quality are nice. I can't say how durable they are but they seem to be well made. I hate brands and designer trendy labels but I indulged and got these and I'm glad. City only, stay on the sidewalks.

I purchased these boots for my boyfriend in Briar-wood/Brown. I absolutely fell in love with the boots. The photos on Amazon doesn't do justice. They are very stylish, comfortable and warm all at the same time. I'm very happy with the purchase. The boot looks great with sweat pants or jeans. I would recommend wearing them with hoodies, or a nice dark v-neck sweater layered with a buttoned shirt underneath, they also go well with north face coats and bomber jackets. You can wear them roll-over for a stylish/warm look, or you can wear them rolled-up for a conservative/stylish/warm look. I bought the brown ones because my bf has too many black shoes and sneakers. I also think the briar-wood/brown gives a guy's style a more rugged look which is a plus in my book. I'm really excited to give him these boots as his Christmas present (I wouldn't be surprised if his guy siblings asked to borrow them). :)

The boots I received were sold by the Amazon seller Sneakers4U. The boots have a mismatched "shearling" wool, and the wool on one boot is stained with a hard black substance. There is excessive glue where the sole and leather meet and it is not done correctly as I can see where the two are separating. Underneath the boot there is a loose thread coming from between the tread pattern. Lastly, the dead give away is the label on the bottom of the boot which reads Polo Ralph Lauren was cut incorrectly by hand. I can see where someone made the cut and then started cutting another angle. I highly doubt Polo hand cuts their rubber name plates by hand.I also contacted Amazon to tell them that fake boots were being sold on their site. I was told they don't want sellers selling fake boots. As for my situation I was told that if the seller doesn't respond to my complaint in 3 days they would automatically refund my money. I contacted the seller and they said I can return the boots. I found it questionable that the email I received from them was a form email stating: "We don't sell or promote the sale of "fakes", "variants" or "knockoffs"." Which tells me I'm not the only person to deal with this issue.Upon further searching of Sneakers4U reviews for boots others have had this problem too. Jsut a warning.
