My wife purchased these boots this past winter for me as a Christmas gift. At first, I thought they would be great. However, I immediately realized I was mistaken.The first defect I noticed was located on the insert that is inside the boot. It was ripped out at the toe. - I had my wife send them back and get me another pair.The new pair arrived in about 10 days.The very first time I wore these boots, the plastic loop / ring that the velcro strap goes through (used for tightening the top of the boot) broke on the right boot. I ended up cutting an actual hole in the side of the boot to insert the velcro strap through and this actually worked out better.The next time I wore these boots, the other plastic loop / ring broke on the left boot. I already knew how to fix it this time since I had cut the right boot for the velcro insert the previous week.Finally, (the third time I wore these boots) the latch that tightens the lower part of the boot around the ankle snapped off completely and flapped around the entire day. This runied my entire snowmobiling trip, since the area around the ankle of the boot was very loose and the "flapping latch" also prevented my snowpants from going all the way down, ultimately filling by boot up with snow.THIS IS A HORRIBLE PRODUCT! I threw them away after 3 uses. (Each time I used them something else broke)I tried to save a little money, but now I will have to buy a better pair . . . ultimately costing me more money for trying to save a few dollars.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!

Last year we purchased two pairs of these boots. The first time we wore them, the plastic loop that the tightening strap goes through broke on my Husbands boots! I figured it was a flaw. However the very next time we wore them, my plastic loop also broke! Cheaply made and they didn't even keep our feet that warm! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

These are horrible. I had similar experience with the ring breaking on these as the other reviewer. Starting to shop around again. $90 purpose built boots that are too heavy/bulky to use for anything else shouldn't break the first time you use them.
