Wore the boots for a week before an eyelet broke. Otherwise they have been waterproof and warm, and comfortable.just hope one of the top eyelets don't break.

Let me start this rant with Ive been a fan of columbia's Titanium boot line. I have hiked/snow shoe'd many of the Adirondack high peeks and enjoyed many a cold winter camping excursions with my toes being perfectly warm while in them. Well its time to retire another pair. So I saw these boots and they look very similar to the titanium's, so i thought what the hell. So these babies show up tonight and i was so excited even thought we havent had any significant snow here in upstate NY yet. Well I slide my foot into this boot and its hard as a rock,err... Next I try and tighten the shoe lace and guess what, what u say? well, my eyelet broke as well. Hmmm sounds like a major design flaw... My old boots all have metal and or very durable plastic eyelets. I barely pulled. PEOPLE DO NOT BUY THESE BOOTS!!!! The leather eyelets are right where u need to be able to crank down on the laces(plus down at the front). Whoever designed these boots should be put up agaist a wall and have a hundred of these boot thrown at them (think Iraqi guy/George w Bush). Such a waist of material, these boots will fail you... I do question looking into another pair of columbia's after this. Plus I really feel the lower portion of the boot will crack with a decent amount of use. Columbia get you stuff together. So disappointed.

Seems like a very solid piece of footwear. Handeled a few inches of snow, and the attendant puddles and slush with no problem. Feet stayed warm and dry. 4 stars because the sole is fairly stiff and even after 20-plus miles of hiking, the uppers are still a little ways from being broken in. If you plan on driving with these boots, they do not bend easily. Great for walking though!
