I use these on my shoes in the winter to walk my dog; I notice a difference when I don't wear them. It's very easy to slip and fall when it's dark in the morning, and I feel more stable when I wear these and less likely to slip if I walk on a patch of ice under the snow. I also like that they fit on my shoes as I am a woman with a larger foot.

I got these for my husband for use in ice, slush and wet snow. They seem to work just fine - he said he doesn't feel like he's skating to the office anymore. The main thing is they fit over his size 15 wide work boots without a bunch of drama and they don't slide off as he's walking over varied terrain (asphalt, dirt, etc) I will probably get him a second set as a back up since the true oversized sets are hard to come by.

My husband wears these while out cutting wood.We live up north where snow melts and turns to ice.Much safer than without.
