Very well finished, attractive and comfortable pair of boots which provide excellent support when walking. The suede collar provides a level of comfort by flexing more than ordinary leather when walking and the felt-lined shaft fits well and provides warmth.They are "true to size" - I normally wear 10.5M and with regular socks the Helly Hansen 10.5M was comfortable.However, I chose to go up one size to 11.5M for a more comfortable fit with thicker, heavier socks such asCarhartt Men's Artic Wool Heavy Boot Socks.No regrets...get them!Update January 3, 2013.Took the boots on a recent trip to Europe and wore them EVERY DAY for 2 weeks, They were comfortable even when walking around town for mileseach day. The weather was rainy and cold and the Artic Winter Boots provided excellent protection against the rain and puddles. I look forward to testing them in more extreme temperatures.LOVE them! I would give them more than 5 stars if that was possible.

These are some of the best looking boots I own. The color looks great, they are very comfortable and extremely durable.

I purchased these boots for $160 two months ago and have had quite a few adventurous hikes in them. The other reviews touted these boots as very comfortable. That is true! Very comfy. No breaking in period or blisters. They also feel strong and sturdy. I enjoy hiking in them.However, they have soaked through for me a number of times. They can keep some rain at bay but if you're hiking in a winter landscape that is melting, they will probably get soaked. I've also had cold toes in the 25-30 degree range, which helped me realize that these are not "arctic" boots. Double up on socks and you'll be ok, though.All in all, I still really like them. The comfort factor is important. :)
