I order these boots for my boyfriend For the winter I saw them online and I showed them to him I said try these they look good And when they came and we open the box They look exactly like the picture And they are just as comfortable. He love them so much he asked me to order him a back up Pair Two weeks later.

I bought the previous version of this boot in the summer of 2012. My initial review of the boot gave it 5 stars. That rating stands as long as you stay on flat ground. At the time, I considered the boot to be the most comfortable shoe I owned. Then reality set in . . .I took the boot as my primary shoe to the slickrock surrounding Moab, UT for a week of canyoneering and hiking. I found the soles of the boot to be so soft and pliable, every step on uneven ground or on a rock was painful. It was like I was barefoot or wearing moccasins. There is no flat ground on Moab other than downtown. So, I spent the week in discomfort. (I tried to buy another shoe at the local outfitters but they lacked my size.)I have no idea what changes have been made to this boot as it looks identical to the pair I have, but you might "tred lightly" before buying a pair. I suggest going to Dick's or some similar place and looking at the boot before committing.BTWFrom the photos, the sole is identical in appearance.Comfortable boot but not for hard walking.
