4Asolot of support
By Gearhead
Good overall boot, sharp looking with good ankle support. Good grippy tread and comfortable footpad. One of the problems I have with this boot is that the excess material around the tongue tends to bunch up. Unless you tuck it in properly, you end up with chaffing/blisters on the instep part of your feet like I had. Another thing was there was not much padding around the ankle area. They are also quite hot and don't breathe well so if you live in a hot, humid state like Florida, you may want something else.In the end, I think they are not worth the pricetag they carry. The soles look well constructed but hey, they are not Vibram soles and only time will tell how they hold up.

5Absolutely Incredible
By ari blatt
I have had these boots now for over 5 years. I used them while deployed in the middle east, and now use them as daily's due to riding a motorcycle and my need for boots. They offer great waterproofing, and I have trudged through lakes without anything coming through the material. I also live in Florida, and disagree with the first reviewer- they breathe very well. Match them with a good pair of moisture wicking socks (I use Underarmor Boot socks), and there are no issues with breathability, even in a climate such as Florida, or the middle east. Extremely comfortable, and excellent quality. They have held up through storms, deserts, shifting gears on a motorcycle, and who knows what else. 5 Years, and still going strong. My next pair of boots (if I ever need another pair, which is doubtful as these don't seem to want to ever quit) will almost certainly be another pair exactly like these, or maybe an upgraded model.

3Owned Two Pairs - Not Perfect
By Dave
Having had two separate pairs of hiking boots my Asolo with each having the same "defect" if you will. The tongue of the boot tends to rub annoyingly against the foot. The fact that your feet are relatively comfortable otherwise along with the amazing Goretex lining is overshadowed by the above mentioned. Awesome quality, but the one negative makes even the routine hike annoying.
