Most of the unfavorable reviews are from people who expected something that this product isn't. It's not a waterproof wader (the side zipper takes care of that). It's not warm enough for tromping for hours at below zero temperatures. It's not for people who can't reach down to the side of their foot, because the zipper has an inside wind flap along one edge, and you tuck that in after inserting your foot or it won't zip... It's not tall enough for slogging through deep snow, unless you wear gaiters or long, tight-fitting pants.However, what they are perfect for is snowy, slushy parking lots. I bought them for driving to and from skiing, since you absolutely can't drive in ski boots. They're also good for shopping, and are not too warm for long drives, if you don't run the car heater against your feet. I just drove from Snowbird, Utah, to northern California in them, and they were fine for that chore.These replaced a much more expensive pair of leather apres-ski boots. These boots are priced like a pair of sneakers, and that is how they are constructed. A one-piece sole and heel, molded and glued to synthetic uppers. They won't last as long as the leather ones did, but they cost a fifth as much.

i bought these boots for my husband to wear to work during the winter. the boot seems to be very comfortable and extremely warm. my husband at times has to walk in the snow and in cold weather when he travels for his job, for he is a truck driver and sometimes has to drive to states where the weather isn't great. the boot is well-made and he loves them! i believe this boot probably isn't high enough but he still hasn't complained. FOR THE PRICE THE QUALITY IS REALLY GOOD.

This was actually the first boots purchased (I bought three, cause im tired of my feet hurting from the cold ) bought these primary to wear for work . I was tired of wearing my Timberlands while commuting and then have to carry and change to my work shoes when I get to my office. These are pretty good, though I found a similar product that was wayyyyyyyyyyy..... Cheaper! The two looks very similar, both keeps my feet warm and toasty, but this has a slightly better leather quality. Although like the similar product, both suffer from the same problem, it had creases in front of the boots after a couple of minutes of wearing... But you can also tell that this is a better quality from the insoles of this boots, it's softer and more comfortable.Conclusion: I would buy this boots again, tho I would probably wait for a sale or something.
