Not bad

These are pretty nice for the price; about half the price of a Clark's desert boot. I like the distressed look of the leather but not crazy about the shiny sheen. It cheapens the look a bit in my opinion. The fit is pretty true, maybe just a hair large. I ordered down a half size from what I normally wear and they are just a hair snug in the toebox width department but since I have a narrow foot the fit is actually overall pretty nice. I actually prefer a snug fit. Overall comfort is good I'd say. Not great but good. No hotspots so far. Today is my second day of wearing them (to work) and they still feel a bit stiff but I think they will break in just fine. Hoping anyway. The only other negative I can think of is that the sole material (it's not a real crepe-sole) is very stiff which makes them, at least so far, a bit clunky to walk in. On the positive side they should wear very slowly.

Just what I wanted

I have other GBX shoes and like the brand. I like the color of these chukkas and the finish will keep improving as they age. They are comfortable and fit true to size and the tread has a tooth to it. They meet expectation and I would recommend them to a friend.

Nice shoes.

Good quality. Nice fit. Look great. Reasonable value.I don't know yet about the wear but there's no reason to believe they won't do very well. In fact, I expect the appearance to improve with age and wear.On the downside, delivery was pretty slow.

Toe lickin' good Ecco Roxton

Not that I'm on a boot fetish agenda (having just posted a review of some Helly Hansen's), but just having my Cat's go to the boot grave after four years of urban servitude, and my Merrell hikers also lost the plot and had to be put to rest in the inevitable File-13 for such stalwart feet companions, I had to banish any feelings of lonliness immediately. The Ecco shops here in Finland had a deal on these beauties, 50% discount for the current weekend. So, not much to add for now, but the bleedin' obvious - quality, quality, quality. Sturdy as Finnish granite rock, designed in Denmark, made in Vietnam (I'm guessing the last bit). A truly global brand! :) Comfy, snug, all those nice adjectives, and pretty neat if you live in, say, well, here in Scandinavia, or Toronto, or Calgary or Alaska, and have a need to wear your Levi's or Wrangler's when you pop out for a few games of pool or snow line dancing. Spilling beer on these Danish beauties is like them coming home to mama to a big wet sloppy one, except spill Carlsberg, not Bud on them, they want some taste. Buy with confidence. Five and a half million Danes do. And another five million Finns also luv 'em!

Comfortable Boots

These are my fourth pair in four years. Started using them in construction, but now wear them for hiking, walking, working around the house, and trips to the home improvement stores. Softer sole than most construction type boots, and it makes a big difference. Cheap boots are just that....uncomfortable. My only complaint is that Wolverine does not make these in the USA anymore. Make them here again!

Not waterproof after a while and sole broke out in pieces.

These were bought for me by the city. Really comfortable until they sit and get use, then composite toe digs in to the top of your feet. The soles of the shoes have broken parts and missing much of the grip. They were totally waterproof for about 6 months then the crease that developed from walking and use started leaking there and started leaking some around the bottom. If you get these expect about 8 months worth of use with proper care. I work with well water which may have something to do with the sole wear, maybe well water eats them?

Warm but not hot, I love these boots! The size was right, and the insides are very soft. The only negative was the label they half stuck on the back that peeled off and left this gooey mess. I scrubbed at it with Goo Gone and used a butter knife to scrape and it come off leaving no stains.

Not worth it.

The page says "You Save $150.00!" but honestly, even $50.00 is too expensive. It says these are made from "Top quality materials" by a "Professional shoe maker." This is not the case.I wore these as work boots (at kroger). I walk around a lot, and after a week, a thin black layer came off the top revealing a light grey material underneath. The more I wear them, the more this layer peels off. It really ruins the look of the Boots. They also hurt my feet really badly for the first couple weeks. So much that I dreaded walking anywhere in them and couldn't wait to take them off at the end of the day.In my opinion, these are not very good boots.
