extremely disappointed

I was extremely disappointed with these boots. I had a pair of Aussie Dogs before and they were great. I guess this was a different style than the others because they just did not hold up. The bottoms are already wore out and I've only had them for about 4 months. When I say wore out I mean the bottoms of them have just worn away. There is no support. When my foot conformed to the sole of the boot it made my foot slip to the side. Once conformed there is no way to correct. This has not happened on any other shoes I have, nor the other aussie dog pair of boots. Just a really crappy pair of boots. Save your money!!! Don't buy it. I truly regret it.

Aussie Dogs bought through Amazon

Sounds like hyperbole but these are the most luscious footwear I've ever had. Wearing socks with them is warmth overkill. The size ran true and walking in them is toe tickly lovely. They arrived within the week and I practically only take them off for bed. Indoor and outdoor they are comfortable and appealing.

I'm stoked to have great boots

I'm a very old school guy, so when I buy a product I like I stick with it. I'm a ugg boots guy since they came out. they use to be affortable and built strong and lasted along time. I had a pair for over 8 yrs. but I started to see the quailty drop over the years and was not happy with the fit and finish and durability. well I saw the aussie dogs and looked into how they are made and read reviews and thought I will give these a try. well the boots are way better than uggs and more affordable and they look alot sturdier and better made. once the winter season starts i will wear them alot so I look forward to getting into my aussie dogs soon. save your money on uggs and buy these boots.

Nice quality product, but order a size or two larger and not for wide feet

This is a nicely made, handsome and quality product. However had to return it because the sizing is so far from industry standards. That is the only reason that I rated it 4 stars in stead of 5 stars.I ware size 11. My last 70 pieces of foot ware, over 35 years have always bee 11. I bought Aussie dog size 12 and it was much to tight. It was both too short and too narrow. A size 13 might be long enough for my size 11 foot, but the width is never going to work for my 4E width. If you have wide feet, pay the extra for UGG's. If you have narrow feet, Aussie dogs may fit better. the Uggs are similar quality. Cozy boots

I have had a pair of shearling boots like this for years. I finally wore them out and needed a replacement. These were much harder to find than I thought they would be. These aren't UGGs but for half the price, who cares. They are very soft, seem well made, and should provide years of service. i recommend buying one size larger.

Outstanding boots that are extremely warm and comfortable

I bought these boots since a pair of boots with 600 gram Thinsulate Ultra insulation were not keeping my toes sufficiently warm. I tend to be outdoors for activities such as shopping, snow removal, and other similar activities. There is no comparison in my view - these boots are far warmer. They ought to be since Baffin rates them for -148 degrees F or -100 degrees C.These boots are outstanding. They slip on and off easily. They are sized well - I wear with a light to medium sock. Even though they are medium-width the inner boot adapts to my narrow foot well. The two-buckle fastening system makes for very easy buckling, unbuckling, and adjustment. Pants legs easily fit inside the boot. The soles have a deep tread that provide very good traction. You can drive in them if you're careful despite their width. You do need to exercise some caution to avoid pressing both the brake and accelerator pedals but it is readily done if cautious.I only have one regret - that I didn't find them sooner.

Baffin Impact is an excellent boot

After tromping around in hiking boots and even snowboarding boots I finally decided to invest in a pair of real cold weather boots. I tried several others including muck-type boots but they didn't have much insulation. I also tried some Bogs which seemed pretty good, but the Baffin's snap closures and nice fit were more attractive. I seem to have problems with zippers in the cold or if they aren't perfectly shaped so the simple buckle system works well even when the boot is covered with snow.I spent a full afternoon outside in freezing temperatures (0-20F) but not -148F! and my feet stayed nice and warm but, thankfully did not overheat or sweat even as I was working hard shoveling snow off the roof. I was told to never use cotton socks, so I used a pair of Smartwools and my feet felt great (unlike with the other types of boots I mentioned above). Excellent construction, well made and easy to walk in. I'm normally a 10 1/2 but these go to whole sizes and the 11 fits very well. I like the gaiter atop the boot and, as mentioned in another review, it slips on and off relatively easily. Unbuckle and push down on the back side of the boot and they slip off nicely without a lot of effort.The tread grips well, I did not slip on ice or my roof. The boot snugs up tight with the buckles and the straps are nicely designed to grab and tighten even with gloves on. With pants, I just wrap the bottom of the leg and slip it in as I put on the boot.I noticed only two issues - I have snow pants that don't quite fit over the top of the boot. This is really a snow pant issue and not a boot issue. The only other thing I noticed was that initially my heel tended to lift inside the boot as I walked, but a quick tightening and it seems better.kd

Baffin Impacts

I could not believe how fast I got my order from Amazon. So far my baffins are really nice they keep my feet warm or excatly how they were when I put them on, I have problems after my heart surgery keeping my feet warm when I ice fish and was almost ready to give it up because my feet would get ice cold. Ive used them several times on the ice and no problems with my feet getting cold where I wanted to leave. I do suggest you wear your boots for a couple of days because they are tight at first but form fit to your feet kinda of cool. I love my Impacts and want to thank Baffin for such a superior product. And Amazon for the shipment so fast Im impressed.

I am not an intense user of snow boots. Got these to take my kid sleding. Man do these keep your feet toasty warm. They are ruggedly built too. they ran true to size for me.

Toasty warm and affordable

I've got good winter boots, but wanted an inexpensive pair for more of a winter work boot. These fit the bill at $40. Campfires, snowmobiling, shoveling, snowblowing, muck and mud; doesn't matter with these boots. They keep my feet warm, but and are fully rubber wrapped up to the ankle, so they stay dry. I've been out in -20F so far, and I expect they'll be just as good down to -40. Not bad for a $40 boot.Great tread, no issues with slippage while pushing the snowblower. They're quick to get on and off, and although there's no lacing, the velcro strap snugs it down enough to provide for a good fit. I wouldn't recommend them for long hikes though, as you would probably get blisters from rubbing.

Terrible winter boots

There is almost no insulation on the bottom of the foot. Your upper foot will sweat, but the bottom of your feet and toes will freeze. Worst pair of winter boots I've ever owned.*****Dec 18th 2012 ******2nd winter, still a lousy boot. Except now they are $105.00. What a joke

Best work boots I've ever owned.

After much use they've become soft and supple. The side zipper is what makes them the best I've ever worn to work. I've had others just as comfortable but this feature does make a big difference. They've also proven very durable given the sort of abuse I've dealt on these guys. Very recommended and well worth the money

TUFF TUFF TUFF

Love the boots. Great with the zipper+lace. Good fit, true to sizing. They really protect your feet well. I found this out for myself on a stormy day last week. My 1,100 Quarter Horse mount uncharacteristically spooked, jumped sideways into me and landed on my left foot with a large head nailed shoe. I felt it but the boot took the brunt of the hit and most likely saved me a lot of pain. Highly recommend them!God Bless

Very comfortable after the first week of use.

Upon arrival, the boot was uncomfortable due to the ICS comfort system. For the first week of use, the nylon ring very noticeable and I didn't like it at all. fortunately, the ring needed a short break-in period and became more and more enjoyable. After being on my feet for up to 18hrs a day, my feet are no longer tired and hurting. There was no real break-in period for the boot itself (other than the comfort ring). I am enjoying these boot every DRY day. The reason that I gave the boots only 4 stars is due to the fact that THEY ARE IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM, WATERPROOF OR EVEN WATER RESISTANT! My feet get soaked in a short time, in rain. Don't even think about puddles! If you spend much time in wet or snowy conditions, I would not purchase this boot. If I had it to do over again, I would get the Bates Delta 9 GTX with gortex lining.
